Oil Painting by Charles Pettitt "Early Morning, Coniston Lake and Mountains, North Lancashire" 1831-1885. Charles was a Birmingham painter of mountain scenes, espesically the Lake district. Son and pupil of Joseph Pettitt, he exhibited at the Royal Academy and British Institution. Oil on canvas. Signed with monogram and dated 1879.
