George I 18th Century Period Carved Gesso Mirror
An early George 1 mirror has an unusual central cartouche with carved volute, flowerheads and foliage flanked by a swan neck pediment. The original bevelled mirror plate is framed by a concave moulding carved with bell flowers and flower heads above a similarly decorated shaped apron.
